John Miley – Mr. Third Coast Leather 2017

John currently lives in Robeline, Louisiana but was born and raised in Bogalusa. He is a high school teacher, drives a daily school bus route, maintains all 56 parish-owned school busses and fixes every other damn thing they need, haha.

John is a father to two beautiful girls who are his focus in life until they are ready to leave the nest. But he is also an active member of the Houston Leather Community, as he often travels there and where he will ultimately relocate to. He has a wonderful partner of 2+ years where they raise their blended family together.

John is the proud title holder of Mr. Third Coast Leather, which is held during GLUE Weekend in Houston, and as such, represents all Gulf Coast States.

John is a member of Mama’s Family and is known as “Mama’s MacGyver”….see above for the answer as to why, hehe. He is a member of the IML XXL class and proudly competed this past year representing Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

John is passionate about family, community and youth education, particularly giving LGBT+ youth every opportunity they deserve. He has spearheaded and helped raise funds for youth centers that are dedicated to that service and commitment to help make lives just a little better than otherwise they may be.
